Aly Hansen is a queer New York City documentary wedding photographer by way of Virginia whose colorful & punchy film photographs put an emphasis on the quick moving & often weird moments that make up a wedding day. Primarily working with vintage film, she approaches the day as a photojournalist would; arriving empty (avoiding bias) & letting empathy, intuition, and tenderness guide her candid photographs.
